Land Title support for insurance claims

July 14, 2022 by Merilyn Vale

NSW Land Registry Services (LRS) will make title searches and plan images free for property owners affected by flooding in NSW.
Land title searches and plans can assist landholders with insurance claims and development applications to council.
Central Coast Council said the searches could also provide peace of mind.
“Having fast and free access to land titles is a small contribution NSW LRS can make to help bring peace of mind to affected property owners when the clean-up starts,” a statement on Council’s website says.
“If you have been affected by the recent floods in NSW and would benefit from access to land and property information from the land titles register, please call NSW Land Registry Services Contact Centre on 1300 396 076 (regional callers) or (02) 8776 3575 to discuss how they can best assist you.”
Council says Rapid Damage Assessments of affected properties are near completion and wash-outs of affected properties have started.
