Mayoral election on September 23, 2019

Mayoral election by councillors will be held at the September 23, 2019 meeting. The mayor will hold the office for one year until the next council elections where the public get to vote for their 15 councillors. Councillor calls out disrespectful and disruptive behaviour

Cr Chris Holstein used a debate about whaling at the July 23 council meeting to call out the behaviour of another councillor. He accused the councillor of grandstanding and putting up farcical motions designed to suck the oxygen out of the chamber.
