An 81 place childcare centre at 3-5 Springwood Street, Blackwall, has been approved.
The decision comes after the Land and Environment Court this week endorsed the paperwork from a conciliation conference held in June between the applicant and Council.
The parties reached “an in-principle agreement regarding the granting of consent to the Applicant’s amended development application, subject to conditions”, the court judgement states.
“A site view of the Subject Site was undertaken during the conciliation conference and objector submissions in relation to the Proposed Development were received during the view,” the judgement states.
The applicant was granted consent for the amalgamation of lots, removal of identified trees, demolition of existing structures and construction of a two-storey centre based childcare centre.
The Court noted the decision was based on the Amended Development Application filed with the Court on 20 June 2023.
