Become a community voice on council committee

May 15, 2018 by Merilyn Vale

Keen to spend other people’s money? There’s a committee for you.

Expressions of Interests are now open for community members to sit on one of three council committees.

The Pedestrian Access and Mobility Advisory Committee has six vacancies.

The committee would consider, review, and participate in discussions on projects and directions of Central Coast Council to achieve objectives in the Community Strategic Plan relating to active transport.

Protection of the Environment Trust Management Committee has one vacancy.

The POET committee promotes the protection of and research about the natural environment and in particular the conservation of flora and fauna indigenous to the Local Government area of former Gosford City.

Gosford Foundation Trust has one vacancy.

The committee oversees the management of the trust and makes recommendations to the council on foundation assets.

Both the POET and Gosford Foundation Trust apply to the former Gosford Council area only.

Application forms for these Advisory Committees are available at yourvoiceourcoast.com.

Expressions of Interest are open until 5pm Thursday 31 May 2018.
