Ratepayers increase coffers by almost $50M

During August, Council’s total cash and investments increased by $49.11M from $629.02M to $678.13M. The increase during August was primarily due to Annual Rates levied during July with first instalment received in August 2022. Flood victims get extra 8 weeks to pay rates

About 1000 flood affected property owners will get an extra eight weeks to pay their rates without being charged interest. Council is offering an extra two months free of interest to those residents with properties listed under the SES rapid damage assessment.
