Deferred Lands rezonings adopted

Item 2.5 Outcomes of Public Exhibition for the Deferred Matters Lands Planning Proposal 

Administrator adopted the recommendations: 

1/ Endorses the Planning Proposal for Deferred Matters Lands as amended in response to issues raised during the public exhibition in line with the changes shown in the attachment.  

2/ Requests the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces to proceed with steps for drafting and making the amendment to Central Coast Local Environmental Plan 2022, as identified under the Deferred Matters Planning Proposal.

The DM Lands comprise 3,440 parcels of privately owned land.

Item 2.6 Outcomes of Public Exhibition and Finalisation of Street Design Guideline and Landscape Specifications 

The document provides “clear guidance” for submitted landscape and public domain applications at varying scales be it large commercial developments, subdivision plans or simply advice for residents wishing to landscape their verge.

Item 2.7 Outcome of Exhibition Local Housing Strategy 

Administrator adopts the Central Coast Local Housing Strategy and will seek endorsement from the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI), which is the approving body for Local Housing Strategies (LHS).

The Strategy tells us that at the 2021 Census, approximately 10 per cent of private dwellings within the Central Coast LGA were unoccupied on Census night.

 

Confidential, no public speaking and no money; deal with sport Central Coast

Item 2.11 Central Coast Council and Sport Central Coast Memorandum of Understanding 

The MOU does not commit Council to any funding contribution.

Council agrees to collaborate with SCC on strategic priorities, recognising SCC as the peak advocacy body and integrating its insights into decision-making processes. 

In return, SCC pledges to support Council’s priorities, represent local sports communities, facilitate stakeholder feedback, and act as a liaison between local organisations and council.

SCC are constituted to have a representative from Council, the Office of Sport, Central Coast Sports Academy and community sporting associations and groups on their Board of Directors.

The term of the confidential MOU is two years, commencing from the date of execution, and will be reviewed when the term ceases to determine if it is beneficial to continue the relationship.
