Council plans to plan in the next 12 months

June 16, 2022 by Merilyn Vale

Council’s operational plan for the next 12 months involves masterplans for the airport at Warnervale and the Gosford waterfront.

It also intends completing an Integrated Transport Strategy to be adopted by the Council-under-administration by June 30, 2023.

Also to be completed by June 30 next year are a Central Coast Heritage Review and a Central Coast Thematic History.

In years two and three of the operational plan, which is out on public exhibition until June 21, Council says it will undertake a Rural Lands Study by June 30, 2024, and develop a Rural Lands Strategy by 30 June, 2025.

And, talking of planning: how long will it take to get your development application through Council?

The percentage of residential development applications (housing, dual occupancy and secondary dwellings) determined within 40 days – that’s gross calendar days – has a target of 30% in year one and growing to 35 per cent in year two and to 40 per cent in year three.

Council says the number of mean assessment days for all development applications will be less than 80 days (gross calendar days) in year one; less than 70 in year two and less than 60 in year three.
