Check out the fees and charges increases from July 1

April 25, 2025 by Merilyn Vale

It’s that time of year when the fees and charges for the 2025-26 financial year are being set.
A draft copy of the council’s fees and charges will be tabled at the April 29 council meeting.
Most increases look to be about 2.9 per cent.
Including sports fields and airports.
Weddings in public spaces will be cheaper.
Dog registration fees – no change.
Bookings for halls, galleries and theatres are much higher…. but then some fees have 100 per cent off.
Council Watch would love to hear from residents and community groups involved about what’s good, bad and indifferent with these new fees: email Merilyn Vale on cccouncilwatch@gmail.com
Alternatively let your councillors know your thoughts.
Councillors are being asked to adopt the draft fees and charges and budget for next financial year.
If they adopt the figures on April 29, the drafts then go out on public exhibition for you comments from May 1.
But why wait?
Read up and let your local councillors know what you think.
Start here from page 61: https://centralcoast.infocouncil.biz/…/OC_29042025_AGN…
You will then find the appropriate attachment at the end of that report for the fees and charges.
