The Land and Environment Court has approved another proposed subdivision at Wadalba South – this one for 68 residential lots at 60-70 Jensen Rd.
The development is part of a 143 ha precinct cut up into 39 parcels of land under separate ownership, commonly referred to as the Wadalba East Land Owners Group (WELOG).
The court case is the latest in a series of wins for the land owners.
Three other subdivisions have been approved in the recent past by the LEC.
Two more are with the court awaiting decisions.
Another four subdivisions are currently being assessed by council.
The tick with the asterisk in the screenshot is the latest win in the LEC.
The blocks that aren’t coloured are yet to have development applications submitted to council.

WELOG formed in 2010 to develop the precinct.
The land was earmarked for housing in 2013 as part of the Potential New Homes Program by the NSW Government to contribute housing that was affordable and to support infrastructure delivery at “no additional cost to government”.
Central Coast Council rezoned the land to allow for housing in 2020.
The first three development applications were submitted to council in 2022. This was one of them.
Also in that year, the State Government provided Council with a $1.4M Regional Housing Fund grant for sewerage and drainage design work to fast-track the land release.
In August 2023, land owners said council was using the money to reconfigure the master plan, despite the original plan having been signed off on by Council and the Department of Planning.
Council denied this, saying it met the NSW Government’s funding requirements, which included comparative master plans that took into consideration site constraints, infrastructure requirements and financial viability and the next stage was to progress to detailed design of water, sewer, road and drainage infrastructure.
The latest plan shows the sites for three sewer pump stations.
The land includes habitat corridors linking Wadalba Wildlife Corridor to the Tacoma/Tuggerawong Wetlands.
The site is accessed from Johns Rd, Pollock Ave and Jensen Rd.
