New guidelines for coastal development

The NSW Government has released new Coastal Design Guidelines to "protect and enhance" the state’s waterways, coast, and estuaries. Thumbs down for Kariong fast food and Umina Beach units

Who wants an extra year of administration?

A suggestion from a Greater Western Sydney council would keep Central Coast Council under its current administration for five years, rather than four. Camden Council suggests the current councillor term for the 128 councils in NSW should be allowed to run to 2025 so it's a full four term. Vales Point Power Station review of licence open to public

The licence conditions of Vales Point Power Station and the community’s access to information is open for public comment until November 27. Residents can download the power station’s licence on the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) website.
