Councillors call for quicker child care approval times

Development applications (DAs) for about 14 child care centres are sitting with Central Coast Council. They have the potential to deliver up to 1400 child care places per day on the Coast. A drain on resources

Councillors are being asked to send a plea to the Minister for Local Government Ron Hoenig asking for ways to allow council to continue to levy ratepayers a drainage charge. Under Water management rules, council can not levy the drainage charge after June 30, 2026.
