Four petitions are alive at the moment, trying to gain the attention of residents.
Each hopes to get substantial numbers of people to sign – before each group then takes their petition to the decision makers.
Despite lots of promotion on social media, signatures are slow to grow.

1/ One that seems to be streaking ahead of the rest is written by Concerned Residents Of Proposal For Boarding, Toukley
This petition was started more than two years ago but has found a second wind with the proposal for a boarding house at Peel St Toukley now the subject of a land and environment conciliation conference later this month.
It has more than 600 names and is racing towards 1000 signatures.
Find it here: https://www.change.org/…/salli-pendergast-stop-the…

2/ A petition from I Love Ettalong Beach wants to see solar powered lights along the Ettalong foreshore to make walking at night safer and is hoping to convince Council to install them.
The petition has attracted 154 signatures and is looking for more support.
It was started earlier in the year, stagnated when it looked like Council wouldn’t listen to the locals and is now hoping to have a second chance.
Give it a kick along here: https://www.petitions.net/let_there_be_light_in_ett

3/ A petition is organised by 3 Villages Community Group which covers the Davistown Yattalunga, Saratoga area.
The group wants to see the Lintern St boat ramp and wharf at Davistown restored and brought up to the current standard of the Woy Woy commuter wharf and the Central Wharf and Amy St Wharf at Davistown.
Go here for that one:

4/ A petition calls for the State Government to rethink its decision to wait until September 2024 before it holds elections for councillors here on the Central Coast. It doesn’t appear to have a facebook page.
