Central Coast Council failed to meet five legislative deadlines in the last quarter of the 2021-22 financial year. In one case, Council didn't know if it had met a deadline. Central Coast Council topped the NSW Ombudsman’s list as the most complained about council last financial year. And the three years before that. The Council attracted 158 complaints in 2021-22. Less debt than at merger: $$$ crisis over
Council now has less debt than it had when the former Wyong and Gosford councils were amalgamated in 2016.
