Less debt than at merger: $$$ crisis over

Council now has less debt than it had when the former Wyong and Gosford councils were amalgamated in 2016.   Administrator Rik Hart made the statement at the October 31 extraordinary meeting which started at 4.30pm and finished at 4.43pm. Peat Island ownership changes

  The State Government has confirmed a landmark agreement to transfer ownership of Peat Island and a portion of the mainland foreshore at Mooney Mooney on the Hawkesbury River to the Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council (DLALC). Coast is awash with plans

The State Government launched the Central Coast Regional Plan (CCRP) on October 27. It is the latest in a long line of “plans” for the Coast and it's not the end of the line: more plans are coming. Whale Rock to be protected in steel works proposal

  A steel fabrication business wants to set up shop in Somersby. The property, at 7 Ainslie Close, includes Whale Rock, an area registered as an Aboriginal Ceremony and Dreaming site. Ettalong height restrictions under review

  A rezoning proposal that would allow additional floor space and height to buildings along The Esplanade at Ettalong Beach between Memorial Ave and Picnic Parade is now open for public comment.
