Council-under-administration is moving ahead with plans to take community land out of community hands. Gosford Bowling Club is built on land Erina Shire Council purchased in 1936 at a cost of 175 Pounds from the Railway Department. Tourist beerfarm proposed for Calga.

A brewery and 280 seat capacity restaurant is proposed for Calga. The “beerfarm” is based on the applicant’s similar facility in the Margaret River region of Western Australia.  To cost about $4.6M, the business would be built at 45 Cooks Rd, Calga. Fish kill to result in court action

The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has commenced a prosecution against Sunset Power International Pty Ltd trading as Delta Electricity in the Land and Environment Court in relation to a fish kill that occurred near Vales Point Power Station, Lake Macquarie, in September 2022.
